Kelly Knapp

Kelly Knapp is an award winning Experience Director working across projects of all scales. Most recently, recognized in Adweek’s Creative 100.  

Kelly has led creative work at Sphere Entertainment Co., working on almost every creative aspect of Sphere, Las Vegas up through opening. While there she helped to establish the foundation for creative at Sphere including how to create shows for Sphere’s unique canvas and the leading/directing the interior design of the venue for which she directed all creative partners. More recently, she led creative for the first two Netflix Houses, Netflix’s first fan-based immersive permanent venues.

Her deep understanding of experience design, master planning, interior architecture, materials, and fabrication come together to allow her to critically and thoughtfully talk to the creative, architectural, financial, and operational aspects of large-scale show design, environmental installations, complex venues, retail experiential and master planned experiences.

Her artistic sensibility, background in dance and music, and love of story combine to create emotionally resonant experiences of all types.

Kelly teaches, mentors, and encourages new talent and has been a critic at the Rhode Island School of Design for 10+ years supporting students from multiple department in their development as artists and designers. Kelly was one of the foundational members who helped to build The Wurks, a collaboratively managed artist’s 15,000 sq ft workspace located in Providence, Rhode Island’s historic mill district.
