GMUNK is a filmmaker, designer, visual artist, and all around creative magician who has established himself as one of the top multimedia directors in the world. His signature style– a unique fusion of sci-fi themes, psychedelic palettes, and practical effects– transcends conventional definitions, and his recent work for Tool includes visually captivating campaigns for YouTube, Audi, Infiniti, and Target.
GMUNK’s portfolio spans feature films, commercials, experimental installations, music videos, graphic design, and title sequences. This expansive range is on display in projects for clients such as Vice, Adidas, Audi and Vimeo, light installations for TrueCar and Twilio, and music videos for Tycho, Eric Prydz, and concert visuals for Beck.
On the film side, GMUNK concepted and designed the holographic sequences for Disney’s blockbuster TRON: Legacy and created the UI interface graphics featured in the Universal film Oblivion.
One of GMUNK’s proudest achievements is “BOX,” a revolutionary projection mapping performance piece he created for the San Francisco-based robotics studio Bot & Dolly. GMUNK has lectured at over 60 top design conferences across the globe. Highlights include headlining OFFF Barcelona, F5 in New York, TOCAME in Munich, FITC in Toronto, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, and Semi-Permanent in Sydney and Auckland.
