Soul of The Machine is a room scale, mixed reality experience developed for the HTC Vive in Unreal Engine 4.
We worked with Crispin Porter & Bogusky to recreate the Infiniti QX50 in VR, and showcase its VC Turbo Engine and Propilot system with photoreal precision.
We leveraged the Vive Tracker to transform an at-scale driver’s seat into an MR component that existed in both the real and virtual worlds. A dynamic play space and “scrubber” effect meant that elements in the virtual environment responded to a user’s every move. Inspired by the automaker's “Driver First” philosophy, the experience launched at the Concours d’Elegance in August 2017 and will continue to travel to the world’s most prestigious car shows to reach enthusiasts everywhere.
