Flying Screens Ltd – Lucid

Shot in a music hall five stories below London, "Lucid" combines modern dance with GMUNK's signature kinetic lighting aesthetics. It is the world's first drone screen performance.

Four screen-wielding drones, controlled by pilots who matched their flight paths to a previously-designed animation, "dance" alongside the performer Zakiya. Dozens of LED lights and strobe lights lit the cavernous surroundings to complement the drones. Venue lights and drone screens were matched to the music through a DAW system, creating a unified visual effect and the synchronization of sound, movement, and light.
