"What affects me most in timeless sci-fi work is a feeling of intimacy set against the backdrop of the infinite. For our film, climate change ravishes Earth, humanity is forced to find alternative planets and become a multi-planet species - Melanie and her partner Arvind are the scouts aided by their Outback and their spaceship in the outer limits of our galaxy. They find us a new home. Her thoughts on life and its meaning are meant to create a sense of place / space for us in her inner world as we see these massive landscapes in her outer world."
