Patrick Fileti is a filmmaker drawn to the emotional texture of real life. His films move between documentary and fiction, capturing moments that feel observed. His work on Go Mongolia won Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Use of Music at the 2026 CICLOPE Asia Pacific Awards, where he was also named Director of the Year.
An editor before becoming a director, Patrick developed an instinct for what audiences genuinely feel and what they don’t. That perspective continues to shape his work today. Whether working with non-actors or experienced performers, he creates an environment where moments feel less directed and more discovered. Across commercials, documentary and narrative, he is driven by the same pursuit: finding the emotional truth within a story and building everything else around it. His films favour restraint over spectacle, creating work that is intimate, human and deeply cinematic.
He holds a Titanium and Grand Prix Cannes Lion for WWF’s Earth Hour. His Coca-Cola film was inducted into MoMA in New York and the Clio Hall of Fame. His documentary Inferno won Best Short Film at the Academy Award-qualifying Palm Springs International Film Festival and premiered on Nowness.
