Floyd Russ

Two-time Emmy winner Floyd Russ has a knack for capturing the emotional truth behind his subjects and environments in a cinematic, resonant way. His commercials have won Titanium, Glass, and Film Lions, several Clios and AICP awards, and many others. His stylistic biopic Zion premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, where it was acquired by Netflix and shortlisted for the Oscar for Best Documentary, Short Subject.

Floyd’s accolades include his feature film Ayar premiering at SXSW, his short film Keiara earning an official selection at SBIFF, and his docu-work for Kaiser Permanente taking home a Clio and two LA Addys. In addition to directing his hit documentary Malice at the Palace for Netflix recently, he has crafted impactful films for brands such as Apple, Google, and Infiniti. He’s also a father and writer, and doesn’t like to sit still.
